Sourcing Practices

Excellent coffee starts at the source. This means coffee grown in a thriving, biodiverse ecosystem, where the health of the coffee trees themselves is paramount. It takes a lot of effort–years of planning, evolving and adapting, and dedicated attention–to grow, process, and distribute excellent coffee. For this reason, the coffees that we purchase are not influenced by the current market prices.

Our Partners

The coffee farmers are the real heroes. To sustain the longevity of the growing and processing of excellent coffee, the humans behind the real work in coffee must be adequately compensated. We buy based on the farmers' costs and the quality they’ve cultivated in their crop, all in an effort to ensure that they can continue the work they’re passionate about.

As a secondary caveat, our focus is turned to coffees grown with minimal human and, when possible, no chemical intervention. We never add anything to our coffees and we only seldomly select coffees with added co-ferments and funky processing.

Roasting Process

We buy coffee from people who care deeply about their crops, the earth, and are good at what they do. We take care to ensure that their hard work is properly represented through our roasting process. Due to this, each coffee has its own special and unique profile. We gather data and employ our own artistry to ensure that the clarity of flavor in each coffee is apparent and sparkly.
